Heat and hot water are the top energy users in a typical home. As manufacturers of quality hydronic heating products, U.S. Boiler Company leads the industry in high efficiency condensing boilers that help homeowners reduce the costs associated with heating their homes.
U.S. Boiler Company is seen as the leader in bringing new and innovative products to the marketplace. The company’s product line features residential cast iron, stainless steel, aluminum, and steel boilers as well as cast iron and steel heat distribution products, water heaters, and a full line of accessories.
In our effort to deliver the best solutions for our customer by using advanced technology to create superior products and services, we are proud to offer several of the most efficient condensing gas boilers in the industry.
The most efficient boilers keep heat in the house rather than letting it escape through the chimney or vent pipe. A condensing boiler recovers some of the wasted heat and is on average, 25% more efficient than a conventional boiler.
The Burnham Alpine™ is a gas-fired condensing water boiler with a stainless steel heat exchanger and runs on either natural or LP gas. At 95% AFUE, the Alpine™ is the highest efficiency product we manufacture. It’s available in both wall-hung and floor-mounted configurations. It’s extremely compact and can easily fit into small spaces.
The Alpine™ also features the exclusive industry-leading Sage2.2 Boiler Control System, which was designed by engineers at U.S. Boiler in partnership with Honeywell, the leader in home comfort controls. This advanced system constantly monitors boiler performance and safety parameters and has a touch-screen for ease of use. It also senses outside air temperatures and adjusts the boiler’s firing rate as needed.
The Burnham K2™ condensing boiler offers an unmatched combination of high efficiency, high performance, and high value. This compact wall-hung condensing gas boiler operates at up to 94% AFUE and is ENERGY STAR® rated. Like the Alpine™, K2’s stainless steel heat exchanger enables it to quickly transfer heat while maintaining the lowest possible operating temperature and highest efficiency. It comes in five sizes ranging from 80 to 180 MBH, and offers features such as 10:1 turndown and a “cold burner door” design that keeps heat in the heating system, enhancing overall efficiency.
The K2™ shares the Alpine’s Sage2.2 Boiler Control System, which offers factory preset for quick and easy out-of-the box setup without complicated instructions. Venting the K2™ is simple as well…one pipe, two pipe, horizontal or vertical.
Alpine™ and K2™ residential condensing boilers come with a 5-year parts warranty which covers all boiler components for five years from the date of installation at no additional cost. (Boiler registration has to be done within 90 days of installation.) And every Alpine™ and K2™ condensing boiler is assembled in the U.S. Boiler Company’s manufacturing facility in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
There are several factors to consider when deciding if a condensing gas boiler is the best choice for your home. The heating system not only includes the boiler, but also all of the pipes, valves, pumps, and heat distribution as well. Typically, Alpine™ and K2™ condensing boilers operate most efficiently in homes with low system temperatures, such as those with radiant floor systems or in homes with high water volume cast iron radiators.
Condensing and conventional boilers require pipes, valves, fittings, a method for radiating the boiler’s heat into the home, and products from various manufacturers. U.S. Boiler Company sells exclusively to selected plumbing and heating distributors throughout the United States and Canada.
