Dave came out to do an AC inspection/cleaning. We learned that mice got into the side panel of the outside unit and our motor was broken. Dave explained in detail what had happened and also researched what we can do to prevent this. In addition to fixing the motor he did a thorough job cleaning the outside and inside unit. He took his time to ensure he did the job correctly and it was a pleasure to conversate with him!We also got a new boiler installed last fall. Everyone at TMS is a pleasure to work with and I appreciate that they present you different options and let you make the decision without the pressure.We will definitely work with TMS to do yearly inspections and anytime something needs to be repaired!

I can’t recommend TMS Enough! Cody, Rusty, and Axle did a phenomenal job doing a service upgrade at my house! Went from a 100 Amp service to 200 Amp. They installed a brand new panel, surge protector, quick disconnect switch and meter box. They were quick, very knowledgeable and just pleasant human beings to be around! 12 out of 10 experience! Amazing company, our furnace broke down. Mike HVAC tech was able to come to our home and take a look at our furnace after determining that a new one is needed he reached out immediately to have an associate come out and give us our options. Jake was extremely helpful in giving us what we needed and wanted, very knowledgeable and helpful. He was able to get us scheduled for a new furnace install first thing next morning. Team that came out to replace the furnace was amazing, very happy with the work, they were quick, clean and extremely knowledgeable. I can immediately tell a difference in our heat. Replacing such thing is not easy or cheap, but the team at total mechanical systems made sure to make us feel comfortable with the decision and extremely satisfied with the results. Michael from Total Mechanical Systems serviced my furnace and humidifier that TMS installed around 9 years ago (a system I’ve been very happy with). As a result of an unrelated fire in my home and extensive remedial construction, the furnace required a thorough cleaning and miscellaneous maintenance work, and the non-functioning humidifier system needed diagnosis and repair. Michael was awesome in every respect. Extremely knowledgeable and smart, he kept me informed and showed me the parts that needed service. He was efficient and completely respectful of my home - leaving it spotless - and most important, he was kind, friendly and easy to talk to.

The tech explained what the issues were with our boiler and broke down the repair costs. After he made the repairs he troubleshooted to make sure everything was running smoothly. This company is great. I was having a plumbing issue and while they weren't able to directly solve the issue (needed a septic company) they had good suggestions about the plumbing of my house and gave me honest feedback with quotes and timelines so I can prepare for future work and budget. Great for a first time homeowner and overall really good experience. Will be back once the budget allows for some of the higher priced work.

I was concerned about using TMS at first because of the rationale that a bigger company obviously has to charge higher prices. Jason M. was our plumber and he will be who we request moving forward. Had an excellent experience with him. He is very experienced, knowledgeable and most importantly I feel he was honest with me. They came out same day to assess our hot water heater problem. I was with him throughout the process as we tried to clean parts, and replace parts. We ran into a pretty unique situation and replacing with new was the only real option. We had an upgraded fully warrantied unit installed within a few hours. I also signed up for the monthly member ship and received a few discounts that left us with a very fair price. I had a pleasant visit with Mike, who came out to evaluate a gas boiler heating system. He provided me with helpful suggestions on the current system, and a professional recommendation to obtain a quote for a newer system, to replace a cicrca 1983 system. I think Luis is very professional yet easy to deal with. Straight talker. Explained all the difficulties with installing a new water heater. Total Mechanical Systems sent two plumbers to my home to install an automatic water shut off system in my home due to the fact that I had recently had a flood in my basement from a faucet breaking and needed to have this completed in order to obtain home insurance. The plumbers came in and gave me a quote and were able to find the needed parts so that it could be done the same day. They arrived at 9 am am and had completed the entire project by noon, which included driving an hour to get the parts needed. They also replaced some of the pipes due to them being too old. I was satisfied with the time it took and the way in which the project was handled. Thanks for getting this done so promptly.

The technician Amanda did an amazing job. She was polite articulate informative timely and by far the most thorough technician to ever come to my house in any trade! . She not only fixed the problem she was sent there for - she identified additional issues and refused to leave until she was also able to resolve those so our family would have AC for the upcoming weekend. She even stayed until 7pm on a Friday night to ensure the system had been pressure tested vacuumed and was up and running and temps were dropping in the house. Could not have been happier with all elements of her service!

The crew that showed up to install my mini splits ductless system were excellent. They stayed all day to assure the job was completed. Never made a mess and cleaned up and removed all material debris. The final result looks beautiful on the exterior of house as does the inside. They answered all questions I had during the install and went over the use of the remote control for the units. It was a lot of work that they completed to my absolute satisfaction! These systems are pricey, but worth every penny IMO. I would recommend this company based on their work ethic and courteous attitude towards the job. Follow up review: when discovering the cooling function wasn't working properly, TMS was quick to send a team out to investigate. Nick and Madison were diligent in determining the cause and were able to rectify the problem. Very impressed with their determination to fix the issue. Also, Madison came back a week later to install the wifi kits that were on backorder and everything worked great with the mobil app. Madison checked each of the 3 units with me before leaving. GREAT JOB ALL AROUND!

My hot water heater was installed by another company in 2018 and it has never worked. I’d get hot water for 10 minutes, then lukewarm and then cool. At least half a dozen other servicemen looked at it over the years. I thought I’d give it one more try and I called Total Mechanical Systems. They were able to send someone the next day. I was very fortunate to get Mike to look at the problem. He was able to determine what was wrong and I’m happy to say, I can now take a hot shower for as long as I want. He explained everything to me in terms I could understand. He answered my questions with patience. The water heater was fixed within 3 days of calling them. Everyone that I had interaction with at TMS was courteous and friendly. I would recommend them 100%.

My wife and I happen to hear about the company from our neighbor, good reputation so we decided to have them for maintaining our furnace.Long story short, something happened and we really were not happy with it but Traci really tried to resolve the issue and she did. She and the HR manager (I am terribly sorry, I don't remember your name but only the kindness and smiles) were absolutely fabulous and extremely helpful. They focus on the customers and do their best to make customers satisfied. And that's why I changed my mind to get the membership service instead of one time maintenance (to see how it goes).The next thing is Eric, the gentleman who came for the maintenance. I am a mechanical engineer and I love to see and understand the principals of basically everything, even if it's not related to machines. I bothered Eric a lot by asking questions why, like a 6 year old kid. His full and deep knowledge of furnace and the system were more than enough to make me understand and it was just wow. I really want him to work with my house forever until I somehow decided to leave CT or die, or he decided to retire.But anyway, I'm really happy with Total Mechanical Systems, so is my wife. I have requested the same tech (CJ) after meeting a couple and he is great. We had a continuous leaky faucet in the shower that was getting worse. They sent Mike out immediately who was very professional. He accessed the situation and explained our options with prices. He was very polite and very pleasant to talk to and answered all of our questions. We have an older 3 handle tub and shower valve so we decided to upgrade to the modern tub/ shower valve. He ordered the parts and came out the next morning. He had to open the wall and cut tile and did a great job! Also cleaned up afterwards and fixed a leaky kitchen faucet after that. We are very happy with this company and will continue to use them for our plumbing projects. My husband and I cannot thank Mike enough for the wonderful job he did. We give him 10 stars!!

Service Tech was knowledgeable and helpful. Although, management provided a replacement quote for a 4 ton heat pump system. Almost a $20,000 quote for one unit. Another competitor was able to provide the same quality Lennox replacement for $12,000. If considering a replacement, then a comparative quote is recommended.

We chose Total Mechanical Systems because we wanted the Carrier infinityair conditioner system. This was also a replacement for a system we had for 20 years. The salesperson that came out to discuss the system was very knowledgeable, professional and friendly and able to answer all of our concerns while offering alot more info about what the new system could offer. He also was able to give us info about a rebate program for the system. We then had a followup from the company that took physical info about the layout if our house and again answer any other questions we had. The day of insulation, not unusual for this summer, was a rainy day but the installers set up a tent outside and kept our house clean from any weather related debris. Also above all our house and driveway, where they worked was also kept cleaned and cleaned up again once the job was completed. The installers and electricians did a great job and the system works great! We highly recommend Total Mechanical Systems. Our installation was done on 8/7/23.years that was also a Cartier system.

I called for service because the unit fell off the wall and needed to be reattached. The screws used to hold the unit in Sheetrock were not adequate. The service manager tried to blame me for putting something heavy on top of the unit. This did not happen. Moreover, they did not send the right technician for the job. I was told they would have to send an installer. Since I had to pay for a maintenance call, I said go ahead and do the maintenance. Once maintenance was underway the technician convinced me to spend a few more hundred dollars for a special cleaner. (Bait and switch??h) I said ok - but my unit is still off the wall and I haven’t head when they willCome back to reinstall nor what they are going to charge me to reattach it -The technician was very professional but service manager was not service oriented

I have never had such a fantastic experience with a company, ever. From past reviews I've hired a lot of different folks to help with house renovations, TMS is by far the best. They're readily available on your schedule, tell you the pricing ahead of time and want to work with you to get the job done comfortably. Every person I've had come over or spoke to over the phone were nothing short of delightful and friendly, I didn't feel like a nuisance having to reschedule or calling for a quick question. I am a new home owner. My home was built in 1954. I am not the handiest of people and something is always going wrong. TMS has been a God send. TMS has helped me with all sorts of issues from electrical, hvac, to plumbing. In this day in age, it is hard to not get scammed. this company is very safe, just goes above and beyond. They always follow up and are on time. They respect your home and don't know they are there. They back their work and if something was not finished, they always came back. Everyone i have dealt with is just excellent. Just recently was plumbing and Chris is top tier. Very understanding and concise so there is no grey area. I would give them 10 stars if i could. I had a new furnace put in. Four men showed up the job was done in less than 5 hours. I also had plumbing work done. The plumber ,Chris did an excellent job. He installed a new vanity and faucet taking his time to remove all the old caulking, cleaning the space before installing the new one. He took care to caulk it to perfection. He was friendly and knowledgeable. He shared his plumbing knowledge. I would hire his company again.

Had the plumbing division come in to do an inspection on a home I was interested in purchasing. They were so thorough and caught red flags before my inspector even did! They were patient and explained all their findings to me and so professional! Overall absolutely worth the money spent and a wonderful experience. One of my pipe coupling had cracked and was dripping with condensation and was discovered before the yearly maintenance. When the technician came to do the maintenance he suggested what should be done to remedy the problem. He gave me very informed information and within the next week, he came back with another technician and they worked and fixed the problem They answered any and all my questions so I would understand what went on. They were very caring professional people and I extremely happy with the work done and am appreciative of the company hiring good people.

The furnace that they put on was not working after a month I purchased it. The technicians were nice polite and helpful. I loved the service until the furnace stopped working tonight. I called for the emergency service and their after hour people were rude and not helpful. They ONLY sever people who had their membership (and the person signed me up never mentioned about that option). I don’t understand I spent $12000 on them and I don’t desire for the service. I’m freezing at my house again after spending $12000.Update from the previous review.The technicians were here this afternoon, and they figured out the problem. They were knowledgeable and kind. I LIKE the service. However, the company really need to train or pay attention on those after hour staffs. I’m extremely disappointed by them, they know nothing and they were rude. When I mentioned I was disappointed and going to write a bad review, they were careless. Those kinds of customer services really turn people away.

I recently had a couple bathroom leaks and reached out to this company. At first someone came out was friendly but to be honest did not fully fix the issue. HOWEVER, when I called back the office was extremely responsive and great handling my frustration. They got someone back out to me quickly. Todd came and did not only resolve all concerns but gave us tips to utilize moving forward and was very personable (having three dogs and two young kids here that’s important to me). HIGHLY recommend this company!!I also appreciated the two hour window and updates on when they should arrive.

I had an error code on my split level unit over the Labor Day weekend. I called on Monday to request service and left a message. I received a call just after 8 AM Tuesday morning and was advised I would have someone arrive between 9 and 11 AM. I received a second call shortly after to provide the exact time of 9 AM. I have had my system several weeks during this hot stretch and I've never been more happy being in my house. I had Home Depot and Harp give me income estimates and they were both so much higher in price. I'm extremely happy I went with Total mechanical. A 4 person team came in worked 4 to 5 hours. Went back to the shop to do so duct building came back the next day worked another 5 hours and were done just as Mark estimated. They put walking paper on all the walking area then at the end picked it all up and vacuumed everywhere to clean up. The left the house in side and out exactly as it was when they first got here. The team was courteous, respectful, professional and friendly, especially their team lead who I felt I could trust as much as the owner Mark. I was very happy with the entire operation from the time Mark sat down with me through completion of the A/C. (Note: I already had old duct work in place. They removed two old outside units and the old attic AC compressor replacing them.

Swapped out toilet supply line valve. Very simple fix, literally took less than 5 minutes. Cost was $379. They did a fine job but even assuming it took half an hour to drive to my place that's nearly $500/hour. For a plumber. I know plenty of good doctors and lawyers that charge half that amount per hour.

Update: 2 year's later we have been leaking water from one of our units. I called another local serviceman to come see what the problem was and he said that ductless air units have to be professionally cleaned regularly and it's $600 per unit! Apparently regularly is every two years, and we were not told any of this. we would not have gotten a ductless air system knowing we would basically buy a new system every two years.The technicians were quick friendly and clean, it's the inhouse team I'm furious with.
