The person we are seeking is:
A sales hunter — We are seeking people that love to sell! We are looking for a self-starter that takes control of his or her daily sales process and continuously fills their funnel with sales prospects. Unlike some traditional cold calling sales positions, we know who most of these customers are – we need a new account development expert to get appointments, get in front of each customer and understand what each customer needs, and then to close the sale.
We are seeking people that work very independently from their home office and travel as much as they need to in order to get the job done.
The successful candidate will stay laser focused on growing the business and will not get distracted by questions and help requests by other portions of our channel. We have others to handle those requests… this person calls on new accounts day after day and drives the growth for the future of U.S. Boiler. The successful individual will be generously compensated for market share growth.
The focused products for this individual to sell are residential condensing boilers. The key customers that you will be calling on are residential HVAC/Plumbing contractors.
The position:
- We know most of the top customers we have to meet. This position is responsible for establishing relationships with those new customers and closes the sales to achieve their assigned quotas and targets
- In addition to calling on the list of known top market place customers, this individual must be able identify and call on new customers that we have not yet reached at all
- Drive the entire sales cycle from initial customer engagement to closed sales.
- Make sales calls on new customers with other colleagues within the channel whenever possible — an account manager from one of our rep agencies and/or a sales representative form a local distributor. The details of these joint calls are dependent upon the specific customer and the territory
- Become a product and industry expert in order to successfully drive the entire conversation with each customer
- Develop, track, and communicate to management, territory plans and on-going updates towards the achievement of sales quotas. This position will be metrics driven… the number of sales calls, the amount of time in front of customers, and the added sales/market share gains that get measured within the channel on a consistent basis. Consistent weekly reports to the management team are a must.
- Make formal presentations when necessary
- Enter sales call results into a CRM to properly communicate sales activities to all stakeholders with CRM access – includes local rep agency sales reps
- Provide feedback to the management team on market trends, competitive threats, and opportunities for extending company offerings
- Conduct all sales activities with the highest degree of professionalism and integrity
- Pays a base salary commensurate with your sales experience, plus has a very substantial commission program. We are looking for individuals that want to make $150,000 – $200,000 annually
- We are looking for 2 individuals in different geographies: One living and based in a major city in the west close to a major airport (Seattle/Denver/Minneapolis/Chicago) and one in Maryland/Eastern PA.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of total sales experience; at least 5 years in a new account development position
- 5+ years of HVAC industry experience. Preference given to residential boiler / hydronics knowledge and experience
- Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university
- Excellent sales skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong technical background
- Self-starter, concerned with results, high sense of urgency
- Motivated by money – this position pays a base salary and a significant commission opportunity
- Familiarity with CRM tools
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time

The job
A strategic account manager develops relationships throughout the account, grows an understanding of that account’s needs, goals, and direction, and then aligns our products and resources to help the account achieve what they want. When we are aligned to help them achieve their needs and goals, our needs and goals also become achievable.
The person we are seeking is
A seasoned strategic account manager — We are seeking people with strategic sales skills and experience! We are looking for a self-starter that takes control of his or her daily sales process and continuously fills their schedule with strategies & tactics work to drive new activities and new business. We need an experienced strategic account manager to work with a multi-million dollar customer’s corporate team, their field technical team, and their field sales team. It’s about planning, communication, coordination, training, constant interface, work in the field to gain mind-share and market share.
We are seeking people that work very independently from their home office and travel as much as they need to in order to get the job done.
The successful candidate will stay laser focused on growing the business with one of our major plumbing distributors as their primary duty. There will be some secondary duties with other business development activities outside of this major distribution account as time permits. The successful individual will be well compensated for market share growth.
The focused products for this individual to sell are residential cast iron and condensing boilers.
The Position
- Is first about understanding very clearly what the customer wants to accomplish. The strategic account manager then aligns our organization and products to help the customer accomplish their goals.
- Is then all about day-to-day management of a multi-million dollar strategic distributor account. There are numerous touchpoints across the country that need to be kept on a daily basis to continually drive the business gains.
- Work with their corporate team on all aspects of longer term strategic planning to ensure we are coupled with their direction in the marketplace.
- Responsible for fulfilling all obligations of reporting, pricing, order flow, contract adherence, invoice/payment flows, and all other information flow between the two companies.
- Help drive the sales cycle in the field. Turn the strategy into tactics and implement them with their field teams along with our field teams. Align product & application training, technical support, sales planning, customer engagement, targeted customer sales calls between the two organizations.
- Become a product and industry expert in order to successfully drive the entire conversation with this account.
- Develop, track, and communicate to management, the account plans and on-going updates towards the achievement of growing the business. Weekly reports to the management team are a must.

- Pays a base salary commensurate with your sales experience, plus has an annual bonus program.
Requirements
- 10+ years of total sales experience; at least 5 years managing major (multi-million dollar) accounts.
- Experience with HVAC/Plumbing distribution
- 5+ years of HVAC industry experience. Preference given to residential boiler / hydronics knowledge and experience
- Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university
- Excellent sales skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong technical background
- Self-starter, concerned with results, high sense of urgency
- Motivated by money – this position pays a base salary commensurate with your sales/account management experience with an annual bonus opportunity tied to business growth. Target salary range is $90,000 – $120,000
- Familiarity with CRM tools
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
