We purchased the Blue Ribbon Plan a year ago and renewed again this year even though we had no calls for service except the annual maintenance visit for our oil furnace. Until now. During the recent storm, our air intake became blocked by snow and our furnace shut off during the night. In the morning our inside temperature was in the 50's and we called Estes for help. The office reluctantly agreed to send a service tech that morning. The tech arrived in due course and restarted the furnace. We cleared the snow from the air intake before he arrived. Several hours later, Estes sent us a bill for $175.00. They said our call did not meet their definition of emergency service. I do not agree and can find nothing in their Service Plans brochure to support their position. This was clearly in their definition of emergency service. I will also add that the tech was very helpful and professional as their techs have been in the past. I feel the problem is in the office.

Estes Oil Company is very reliable. They were very responsive when we had a tiny propane leak. It was difficult to find, but their persistence was impressive. We have been customers for the past thirteen years and I would recommend them to my neighbors and friends. I have had experience with them when I was a director of a small nonprofit and they have serviced our church as well. Estes is truly a community company. The best!

Estes oil has the best service of any oil service I have ever used . Whenever I would panic that I was running out and the house was cold they would repond immediately. I am disabled and can't get to read the furnace. They always promised to get to me as soon as possible and they always did.Now they have installed a system that monitors ny use. This is a great comfort to me. I can call and find out how nuch oil I have and they are always pleasant. I hate having to use a computer and remember a password so having a pleasant person answer the phone is a big plus to me. Can't go with Estes.

In October 2024, I had an oil burner swap performed by Estes Oil in York, Maine, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the entire experience.Ian, the head engineer, came out to assess my system and carefully spec out the equipment that would best suit my home. He recommended a BUDRUS direct vent boiler, which allowed me to finally eliminate the noisy and high-maintenance power vent I’d been dealing with for years.Scott was the installer, and he was outstanding from start to finish. His knowledge and skill were clear every step of the way, and his excellent communication made the whole process smooth and stress-free. The installation was done perfectly, and the new system runs so quietly you can hardly hear it.On top of the exceptional work, Estes Oil provided an excellent price and delivered a level of service that is rare to see today.Thank you, Estes Oil, for a tremendous job. We have been customers of Estes Oil & Propane for almost 4 years now. Not only do we purchase our propane from Estes, but we also have them service our furnace.They monitor our propane supply and fill our tanks when necessary. They have always been diligent with their fill ups keeping us well supplied and ready for all kinds of weather events. They come yearly to service our furnace and are always on time and answer any of our questions. My propane tank (which I use for heat) ran completely dry right before New Year’s Day. They sent a truck out very quickly and had a service call soon after to check for leaks, so my heating system was up and running in no time. The delivery driver and the service tech were both wonderfully professional and efficient. I am so grateful to this company!

Staying at a rental home in York, and we experienced some hot water issues, so the owner asked Estes to come by. They sent someone by within a few hours, and he quickly determined the issue and got it remedied. However after he left, we found we had no running water in the home, so he came right back to figure it out, even though nothing he had done should have had anything to do with the water. It turned out to be a totally different issue, but he was so accommodating and helpful, and worked together with us to figure it out. Awesome service and even better people!!

Estes just installed a new propane Combi boiler at my Dover, NH residence. Their pricing was right where it should be. They did an excellent job with the installation. They came when they said they would and left the site very clean. The technicians were polite and courteous.

My heating system stopped working. When I called I was told that it would be the next day. All technicians were in the field. They managed to get a tech to my house same day. No wait. Total time with no heat was Wednesday to Friday morning. The technician was very knowledgeable and showed me the issue. A part needed to be ordered which is why it took until Friday. Completely understandable. I was the first stop on Friday morning. Estes is local as local can be. They treat people right and give back to the community. They invest in York so I’m happy to invest in them.

Estes is top notch. We lost heat due to an old boiler system just 3 days before Thanksgiving. They came out surveyed the situation and were able to come out the next day and install a new system. Chris and Matt were here all day on the install and it came out great. Their service is prompt, reliable and professional in addition to being cost conscience for us. Would highly recommend them.

I switched oil companies after having been with Dead River Company for 28 years.We installed a propane generator here at the house to keep ourselves supplied with electricity if needed in the winter. My old company was unable to accommodate me in a reasonable amount of time.I called Estes Oil and we discussed our fuel needs as well as payment options.So now they supply me with propane and heating oil as well as servicing my furnace. This is a tough business to be in when fuel prices are high but I feel they are very reasonable and are easily accessible for any questions.

I recently had a new furnace, water heater, and oil tank. The team at Estes did a phenomenal job! Todd appeared to be the lead installer, helped by Tyler and Cole. This job took a full two days. The old tank was in a tight space and I was worried about it’s getting out without marking walls or some spillage. Oil was pumped out (I forget the gentleman’s name who did this and the haul away work) and there was no problem. Perhaps anyone can put in a new system but I appreciated the respect they showed our property. The new set up was perfectly done and it streamlined and sleek. Tyler installed the new thermostat and made sure there were no marks or grease spots left on the wall. Plus he wore booties on the rugs. Todd was great. He made sure everything was cleaned up daily. Clearly Cole was experienced in the technical aspects and he worked great with Todd. Todd was a great mentor for the guys. He modeled good customer service and made sure the other guys understood it’s more than just installing a furnace. Lastly, Todd and company did a great job filling in the foundation, the new system had a smaller footprint to the outside and he made sure nothing was going to get into the house. I would highly recommend Estes and this team in particular.

I have had Estes for 3 years. Their service is fantastic. They just did a yearly maintenance. Sent me a calendar invite was on time without any issues. Last season my power vent was making a strange noise Estes was there within hours of my call. Always answers the phone does not matter time or day. I am pleased to post this positive review of Estes Oil and Propane. We have been a heating customer (propane) for several years but we decided to put in a "split" unit into our home so we could have AC on those few but very hot days in the summer. The whole process was extremely easy: We met with the representative, he presented us with an estimate and we arranged to have the unit put in while we were out of town (we were gone several days). When we came back, the unit was up, there was no trace of construction, the house was cool and we were very happy! Thank you for such excellent and professional service!

Just had a mini split system installed. Work was done professionally and timely. Installer worked during hottest day of the year. Highly recommend the company to anyone looking for fair pricing and great customer service.
