Adam was amazing! Our water heater broke down and we needed immediate help. He was available asap for us. And also did a great job efficiently. His and Anthony’s service was really good too. I have to give a huge shout out and thank you to Adam who just left here on a Saturday afternoon after a leak with my kitchen faucet was called in last night! He is just the absolutely nicest person and so knowledgeable. He called before he came, showed up when he said he would, diagnosed the problem immediately and did a beautiful job. He even took a few minutes to answer a question about a different issue which Im sure Ill be calling them back about in the future. I was so very pleased because this is about the fifth person from Archer that I’ve had the pleasure to have come and fix a plumbing issue and each time it's always an outstanding experience. Very grateful, he was able to come so quickly and on a weekend so I did not have to take off from work, which is difficult. The entire team is incredible and so honest and you know, you're not going to have to call them back because they do it right the first time! Thank you also to the lovely people who answered the phone and connected me with somebody who could come out today. You just don't find companies and professionals like this anymore or very often!!

Had a great experience with Archer plumbing. They came out to assess a sump pump issue we were having. Sump water was backing up in our lawn. Chris was able to give me a very informed explanation of the problem and promised to get back to me with a solution within the week. The next day (or two) his supervisor, John, stopped by to assess the situation and agreed with Chris' solution to flush the line. They gave me a fair estimate (I had some from other companies as well) and showed up promptly to do the work. Chris and Anthony were professional and non disruptive to me who was working remotely. Once the job was completed, Chris walked through with me what they had done and showed me how it was successful. Very respectful, courteous, friendly and honest company. I would HIGHLY recommend Archer and, specifically, Chris, to do any plumbing job I have. I have used them before and will use them again.

Not happy at all about their dealings. Paid 53 showing up fees and technician told he don’t know anything about the leaking of water from my main drain inlet pipe unless he will do some exploratory work which is not guaranteed to explore and the 53 dollar will not considered towards the total diagnostic and repair cost. In other words technician just came then for a minute to collect the $53 check. Front desk lady also not very customer friendly and gave me very hard time spelling my first name and last name many times. If someone respectful to others and understands the value of others shouldn’t be like that, because I never had experienced this type of situation spelling my name many times.

When I had a plumbing issue, my first and last call was to Archer. Christian K came out to my house and was super friendly and was also didn't mind dogs so it was nice to not have to keep my pup crated while he was here. He diagnosed the issue, gave me a few different quotes depending on what the actual issue was and got started right away. All said and done within a couple of hours and the pipes are back to their old ways. Couldn't recommend Chris more! Hope I get him next time I call Archer!

I would first like to say, I am extremely impressed by the professionalism from the moment I made the phone call to now. I had the opportunity to work with Adam regarding a plumbing issue in my home recently. Adam was prompted, respectful, and knowledgeable during the entire process. We ran into a small issue and Adam returned to my home with no issue. I was able to address the issue and the owner John was completely understanding and respectful even in the mist of my frustration. I have never encountered such a pleasant experience while completely frustrated in my life. It’s comforting to know that there are businesses/owners out here that truly valued and care about their customers still!!! I would definitely recommend them again and again! I was blown away by how quickly this company responded. I spoke to Monica on the phone and then Adam was at my house less than an hour later. He was very friendly, professional, respectful and honest. While the cost was nothing to sneeze at, it was a weekend and an emergency call due to a sewage back-up in the basement. He answered all our follow up questions and gave recommendations for what to do next. It was an unexpected Saturday expense, but I am very happy with the service and would do it again if I had to (though I hope I don’t have to). I definitely recommend this company and if we need other non-emergency services, I’ll give them a call.

We had a pipe leak in our water heater and called the night before to schedule an appointment. The office got back to us promptly at 7:30 the next morning, and within a couple of hours, Mike and Chris arrived. They quickly diagnosed the issue, explained what happened, and resolved it efficiently. They were incredibly helpful in walking us through the details of the repair. Archer Plumbing left us nothing short of impressed. When the hot water stopped working in our kitchen, they were courteous in warning us not wait. They told us we likely had a frozen pipe and waiting could lead to a burst. Mike and Justin showed up the next morning and just like that our frozen pipe was a thing of the past. Mike was both informative and thorough. He explained what to expect, what they would be doing to fix the issue and took the time to ensure everything was working properly before leaving. He even tightened the bolt on our main water valve to stop it from leaking, rather than pushing a replacement, which we very much appreciated. I also really appreciated the fact that Archer sends you a text of when the plumber will be arriving, which includes a picture so you know exactly who to expect. We highly recommend Archer and would not hesitate to hire them again.

I will start by saying I have used Archer before so when this issue happened it was an easy phone call to get an appointment same day. Adam F came exactly at the time he said he would. Adam explained what he had to do and immediately got to work. He questioned why I didn’t have a ball valve on a water line to an outside faucet. Archer Plumbing is the BEST in the business and I always rest easy when they do work for us!! They can be trusted IMPLICITLY with ALL plumbing needs.We recently went through a boiler replacement and John, the owner, immediately spotted the piping errors made by the company who changed out our boiler 13 years ago! And no, he wasn't looking to 'pad our bill'--the wrong piping was a real thing. Mike, who has worked several of our service calls for various things, came to install the new boiler and re-work the pipes. It took 3 days to complete the massive undertaking, and he created a masterpiece! John came again to check out the job, saw a couple of things that could be streamlined, and Mike did them. Mike also spotted what could've been a problem going forward, and changed out a 70-something year old valve leading to our fridge water line--we now have a stronger stream coming out of our water dispenser. I grew up in the house I currently live in, and we are on boiler #3 (since 1969)--and it is THE BEST working one we have ever had and I credit Archer Plumbing's know-how for it!Today, we have electricians here that John sent to streamline the electric shut off to the boiler. And a few days ago, Mike was back to replace our hot water heater.Knowledgeable, professional, courteous and full of integrity, Archer Plumbing is the ONLY company to go with!

It’s a hard fine when you are looking for a good plumber these days. After reviewing all the reviews for this company that I decided to give them a try and my husband and I couldn’t be more happier! Christian is phenomenal!! He did a small job repair for us back in December. Today we did a big job replacing my PRV. Christian is skillful, professional and friendly. Adam, Christian, and Davian were at my house two separate days for two separate issues. I can’t tell you how wonderful and professional they all were. They left my house in better condition then before they arrived. Extremely knowledgeable and made us feel like we were really being cared for. They wore debris booties everywhere in the house, took them off to run out to the truck, then right back on once they reentered the premises. We always found that it was worth the little bit extra in cost to get good reliable plumbing service you receive from Archer. You might be able to find a plumber for less, but the workmanship won’t be as good as what you can expect from Archer.Just wanted to give a shout out to Chris who came to do work at my home last week. Adam came out today to help us with an issue with our shower. When I called, the lady in the office was super nice and helped me out by fitting me in today. Called for a clogged utility sink and they came the next day within the estimated time. They texted and called ahead of time to let me know exactly when they were coming. Chris and Mike were very professional and even used booties for their shoes, which was greatly appreciated. They explained everything before starting their work and confirmed that I understood what was going to happen before committing to the estimate. The clog was cleared and they replaced a check valve fairly quickly. They cleaned up after themselves well. Excellent service for an emergency call on a Saturday morning. We (unfortunately) have many issues with our old house and Archer plumbing employees are always professional, diligent, and friendly. We had a pipe burst under our bathroom sink this morning and Archer sent someone over within 30 minutes. We have used Archer plumbing a few times before and plan on using them again in the future.Tonight we had a pipe leaking. As usual everyone we have dealt with at Archer Plumbing has been friendly and professional.When Chris arrived he was professional, respectful, and friendly. He explained everything up front and answered any questions along the way.The leak is from the sink in the second floor bathroom and the leak is seen in the basement. Chris spent some time to see where everything is and made a plan for how to find the leak. We spoke about what was going on again and what that meant. He went to work to locate the leak. Once he found and fixed the leak he made sure the repair fixed the issue. After that he cleaned up. A few minutes later we were handling billing and he was on his way.Having an issue with a leaky pipe is frustrating. However, the process was made easier because Chris made sure to explain everything and answered all of our questions.Thank You, Chris

Joe and the Archer Plumbing team were extremely efficient. Great customer service all around. I called about a leak in the basement and within an hour of arrival, the job was complete and he took the time to explain everything in detail. I casually mentioned another ongoing issue we’ve been having (a vibration in the walls every time we flushed one of our toilets), explaining that SEVERAL other plumbers said there was nothing that could be done about it unless we opened the wall. We’ve been living with it for years and planned to figure it out when we eventually remodel our bathroom. Joe heard the noise in question, looked at the toilet, and turned to me and said “I can fix this right now.”, which he did for no extra cost. I’m never going to trust anyone else but this team!

Archer has done some work for me in the past, with mixed results and a LOT of unnecessary damage occurring. Recently, I have had the displeasure of calling them to tend to an emergency. They told me they would charge 150 for the visit. They plumber was nice but over his head. He assess the situation and spent his time taking pictures and conferences with his boss. After finally gathering all of the information he needed, he proceeds to tell me that he needed to charge an additional $250 for his assessment. Ridiculous. He tells me that he needed to replace my main line, and needed to destroy all of the landscaping and pavers to do so. He tells me the cost would be almost $9000, and they won't be replacing anything. After making a few calls and networking, I find a place that would do it cheaper, and who understood my issue by assessment through phone. When they came, they plumber gets a phone call from Archer themselves, who outsourced the work. A company has the right to do what they want, but Archer wanted to charge me thousands more just to send the same people we called! Archer had no insight nor plan into how to truly fix the situation, but yet they wanted to take advantage of a customer by charging thousands just to do nothing! Shame on them, as I'm sure a simple referral would gave been a great courtesy, as opposed to trying to shoe horn more money from me. Customer beware!!

Although I was satisfied with response time and completed work for the 2 jobs done, both times I've felt I was overcharged based on work performed. The 1st service was to get hot water heater up to code for obtaining a permit, the charge of $1700 was outrageous. The second service was to clear a main drain. While working on this it was discovered there was a crack in the main sewage pipe behind wall. The charge to repair this was $3500. As work was underway, the price kept increasing from original estimate of $1200 to final cost of $3500. Each time workers had to leave site to go back to shop for a part was charged as working time. This could have been minimized if all parts were retrieved before work started!

Adam and Chris were great! They were very nice and they did a good job with replacing the hose bibs and shutoffs. They also were able to fix a problem I had with standing water near the sewer line -- I was worried that would be a big issue but apparently it just required replacing one little piece and they even did it for free! After that I will always go back to Archer for any future plumbing issues.

Came home from vacation and noticed water dripping through the bathroom ceiling vent. Called Archer after seeing multiple Facebook recommendations from people in Old Bridge. We were able to get an appointment asap. Technicians came out, they saw hot and cold water valves needed to replaced after a very slow leak that must have been happening over time. We opted to also have the main water valve replaced as well! It was a quick and efficient job and no more water leaking though! Thank You!

I meant to write this sooner but never got around to this. Chris and his partner came to work a laundry box/valve repair in January. They did a good job, Chris knows his stuff, and price was fair. I would've given 5 stars but they put their sticker on my brand new heater that they did not even install without my concent. They had no right to touch my heater. It may seem funny to some but now I have to worry about my warranty being voided because of this.

I could speak enough praise for the work WM Archer & Sons did on an issue we had recently at our home.In short, we had a trap that needed to be cleared. A larger, more nationwide outfit spent about 15 minutes outside, claimed that the trap was beyond repair and unfixable I was staring down a 5 digit estimate for an emergency repair.I called WM Archer and asked for a second opinion. It was already late in the day, but they were on site within about 30 minutes and were able to clear the trap in the same amount of time.Thank you specifically to Mike, Joe & Chris from WM Archer! From changing a broken valve, to replacing our main water shut off, to our latest job of having our entire sewer line replaced.Each time I have worked with them, they've been extremely helpful and professional in everything that they do. I have been using Archer Plumbing for a number of years since my house is over 50 years old. I have found them to be one of the most outstanding service providers and I have come to rely on them for all plumbing needs. They are prompt, thorough and meticulous in performance. I want to make a special shout out to Andy who was tremendous last night December 4. We had what turned out to be a sewer back up which effectively shut off water to the house. I called Archer at 7 PM, Andy was at the house at 8, and by 9:30 the problem was resolved. On another occasion Archer's service people pointed out and repaired a serious gas line error that another contractor had made when installing a new water heater. I would recommend them without any hesitation to anyone in need of first rate plumbing service.

Everything about this experience was 5-star. The lady who booked my appointment was friendly and accommodating with an appointment the next day. Chris, the service tech, called me when he was 40 minutes away to let me know when to expect him. He showed up on time and was very professional. Clean attire, clean van, very well organized, and knowledgeable. He was very pleasant with a positive attitude and eager to get going. He had the various Moen parts required in his truck which was really satisfying that he wouldn't have to come back another day. He fixed another plumbers mess which required him to cut through a cabinet and a wall to access the water line. He had the right equipment and not only created the access he needed but put the wall and cabinet back together where you can hardly notice. He cleaned up after himself. All my plumbing issues were resolved and at a very fair price without the usual 07760 surcharge we seem to get around here....;) I highly recommend Chris and Archer Plumbing. Simply the best!!

I found Archer Plumbing online. We’re having issues of a water backing up in the basement and we called them. They were very professional very prompt. Some people ask how I chose my contractors. I simply say it’s based on the quality of service they provide and the cost of this services. I have had a long history with Wm. Archer and Sons for many years now and I keep going back to them for all of my plumbing needs because of their quality of service and the reasonable price they charge. This morning, I once again used them. This time for a shut off valve that I need them to install. It took a lot of coordination with the Township’s Water Utility as well as the Plummer and also the metering service. From the time that I called to first schedule this work, Wm. I was very happy with the service Archer provided. Two pipes froze and burst in my master bath. The technicians arrived on time and really worked hard to find a solution to access the problem without damaging my wall and tile any more than necessary. We called Archer plumbing at 11 am for a broken sump pump and a new sump pump was installed by 5:00pm. They sent over Steven who was a professional and knowledgeable plumber with the heart of a teacher. He explained how a sump pump works and had a new sump installed quickly. I now include myself in that camp.I reached out and heard back almost immediately. The next morning there was a call from Danielle to schedule someone to come out with same day availability. (This wasn’t an emergency call so that was amazing to me) Chris and his helper arrived early, they were friendly (they like dogs and enjoyed petting ours while talking about the job. Dogs always know good people and mine loved them!) and they were very good at diagnosing, fixing and repairing the issues at hand. Had emergency issue with blockage causing a drainage issue. Called William Archer & Sons since they are local to us. Lady answering was very polite and told us someone will be there in an hour. 30 min later we had someone at the house who not only fixed the drainage issue promptly but was very thorough. I liked the attention to detail so asked him to look at a couple other items I would like addressed in the future which he did and provided me with a fair estimate. I had used another plumber for a similar issue many years back and they were not as thorough so highly recommend.

All my interactions with the folks at William Archer & Sons were professional and pleasant. The work was scheduled very quickly, and when it came time for the plumber to come to my house to assess the issue, and to do the repairs, everything was done on time. On the day the plumber came out, the work was completed that morning (this includes the town coming out to shut off and turn on the water from the street), and the plumber cleaned up the worksite. I was able to cook lunch and dinner that same day; I originally was planning to order take-out.Andy, the plumber, was nice to interact with and it was clear he took pride in his work. I called Archer to look at my toilet again as it was repaired by them a few weeks prior, but I felt as if it was still running a little too long after being flushed. Dave from Archer came and made a small adjustment and it was perfect! He also explained what he did and why it was running longer after flushed. He was extremely knowledgeable. Our high efficiency heating system went out over night on one of the coldest night this year. I contacted the office at 6:30 AM and spoke with john who was attentive to my situation and the urgency I needed since I have two small children in the house. Shortly after john and I spoke he sent out his brother Dave who was extremely helpful. He quickly diagnosed my heating problem and was transparent about what cased the failure. Understanding that I had two small children in the house and that temperature’s were going to drop back into the single digits that evening dave assured me it would be fixed same day. I had a gas line run underground about 50 feet to accommodate a newly added pool heater. I called archer plumbing and Dave showed up promptly and I hired Dave for the job. Dave was extremely professional, courteous, would always check in with me and give updates regarding the project and how things were progressing in regards to obtaining the permit to begin work. Once the permit was approved Dave wasted no time and completed the work in one day and got the town to come approve the project the following day. The day he came out to work was 100 degree weather and Dave worked through it for 12 hours straight. The amount of professionalism and dedication displayed by Dave was phenomenal. I highly recommend this company, especially Dave and going forward I will call archer plumbing first for any and all plumbing jobs I have in the future.

I asked for a price to install a recirculating pump to decrease the time that it takes for my hot water to reach my bathroom. They wanted to charge me a $50 service fee to give me a price. I didn't need service and I do not need a repair. I wanted an installation of something that I can live without. I haven't had this experience before.

Dave from Archer did an amazing job today unclogging the underground gutter drain. Dedicated 1-2 hours in the freezing cold to make sure he cleared it out and answered my questions to make sure I was satisfied with the work. He also gave advice on how to permanently resolve the issue and plan for the Spring. You rock Dave!

They came out to replace my hot water heater a while back. The service was great, no issues with the installation or technicians.My problem lies that months later I realized the township never contacted me for the post install inspection. I called the township and the told me a permit was never filed by them. The permit cost was part of the installation price.I immediately called them and asked what happen. No one had a good answer. I had to call multiple times and I kept getting told they would pass the info along.Here we are I believe 3 years later and they still never filed the permit.

Dealt with Archer a while back and they were wildly overpriced. They charged me $2500 from replace 15 feet of pvc pipe under my sink (I got quotes later on from other plumbers for follow up work we had done here and they both came in at least 1k less). The guy who showed had a ln awful attitude as well. He had no interest in answering my questions. He worked on it for about 3 hours and while the work was fine, the sink clogs more often.The other issue is that the repairman decided to place tags and stickers all over my house with Archer plumbing logos (without my permission) and came back the next day to put an Archer plumbing sign on my lawn (again, without my permission). I've been finding these stickers for over a year on pipes, my water meter and water heater and and they don't come off easily.Steer clear of Archer. Theres plenty of better plumbers, with better attitudes at more reasonable prices.

His assessment is quick, and his conveyance of the issue, and how it may be resolved, is thoroughly expressed in simple terms at a comfortable pace. And his work is superb, in function and appeal.As the son and grandson of career Maintenance/Superintendent men, suspicious of the service industry, I attempt most home repairs, usually with success. Sometimes the cost of a DIY seems quick and inexpensive, but with plumbing, disaster is a real consequence. The time on Youtube and gamble with unforeseeable surprise anomalies brings you back to the smarter decision of hiring an expert. Dave is my expert.Never did I sense any judgement of my abilities nor my lack of awareness. And what I learned about my house in five minutes, exceeded that which my forefathers could ever tell me. Dave is willing to perform physically brutal feats in awkward dark sweaty nasty conditions with a steady positive attitude. Dave is absolutely worth it. Will not use again.Called Archer to replace a broken outdoor frost free hose bib. Made appointment for next day and was told that there is a $40 charge to come and assess the situation. I thought that was a reasonable charge. However, when the plumber arrived, he very quickly assesed that the replacement of the hose bib would cost $600. I was astonished to here how expensive it would be and the plumber told me that he had to do lots of work, the hose bib itself cost $50 (not very expensive) and that he would see how long it took and would adjust the price.Bottom line, after he came up with a couple of coupon discounts, he charged $450 to install the hose bib in approximately 30 minutes. $400 per 30 minutes of work!Beware!

Had a drain backup and flood our laundry room on Memorial Day. I called at 10pm to leave a message and actually spoke with a person. I told them it was not an emergency and if possible I would like the work done the next day. At 8:15am their 2 employees showed up with masks on and I walked them through the issue. The diagnosed the clog and ran the power snake for about 45 minutes. Issue solved. Great quality of work, clean and neat, and a fair price. All you can ask for. Thanks.

Archer has been a life saver for me every time we need them first our sewer line was backed up and Gold medal could not do a thing instead they were asking for so much money to change all our pipes and we just moved to a new house we brought but Archer did the job and even gave us natural ways to help maintain those two guys which I forgot their names and I recently needed to change my electric oven to Gas and they came back very nice they clean up and did always a great job . I will recommend they to anyone who ask me. No wonder they are in business for 50 years !!!

Shay and Ryan had come out to inspect a leaking pipe in the ceiling. Despite it being in a really tight spot, they were able to replace the leaking drain pipe and a number of other supply pipes for the bathroom. They took the time to run the toilet a number of times over 30 minutes to ensure nothing was leaking, and provided some advice on preventing any mold. Really appreciated the candor and help!

I've been meaning to add a review for the work that Archer & Sons performed at my parent's house in Somerset, NJ (late 2018 through early 2019). I used them for previous work and had to post a stellar review at that time. Nothing has changed. During a particularly stressful time in my life, where I was handling the sell and clean out of my parent's home (40+ years of stuff), moving my mom into memory care, supervising my father's care in a nursing home and treatment for cancer of the urethra, caring for my 7-year old son, and finding a place for us to live after the sell of my parent's home, where we had been residing with my mom while I handled her care, Dave Archer was on the job to fix several issues, with compassion, excellence, and at a fair price. A couple of weeks before closing, I had a pipe burst in the basement that I had to get fixed for the new owners. Dave got the job done. I then had, as part of the inspection, to get a whole steel radiator replaced. Again, done quickly and affordably by Dave (he even gave me a $200 discount). It was during the Christmas season so it was extra special to see a gift bag on our porch after the job was completed with two sweet gifts for my son (who Dave was also quite sweet with when he was in our home doing the work). Finally, literally a couple of days before closing, the radiator sprung a leak, that turned out to be due to just the positioning on our old floors (slanted living room), which Dave quickly addressed, without cost, so that I could close on the home without fear that the new owners would confront the same issue. All in all, I was once again grateful for this company's great work and can only continue to give Archer & Son's my highest recommendation!

My wife and I had several bad experiences with local plumbers not going to name them. We decided to use Archer Plumbing because of the great reviews on Facebook groups google etc. Well I couldn’t have been more pleased with my experience. John the owner came out within 20 minutes of my frantic phone call. He was pleasant, informative, Just awesome to deal with found my plastic ice maker line had a hole in it. I found my go to plumber and would recommend Archer Plumbing 100 percent.
